Zachary Meyer is fighting for your American Dream— because he’s living his.

Zach Meyer is a lifelong conservative and proud Illinoisan. He is a first-generation college graduate, attorney, and entrepreneur who has built multiple successful businesses from the ground up—all before turning 30. Raised in a working-class home in southern Illinois and having lost his father at a young age, Zach learned early how to lead with resilience, resourcefulness, and grit.

While attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Zach took over a failing Tropical Sno business and transformed it—tripling sales and turning the seasonal stand into a profitable operation. He used that income to fund his way through law school, proving that with hard work and business expertise, it’s possible to create opportunity where others see obstacles.

By age 23, Zach had earned his Juris Doctor, served as President of the Law and Medicine Society, and authored a thesis on state immunity laws and childhood cancer funding. He went on to launch Meyer Litigators, a high-impact personal injury law firm, and has since expanded his footprint into legal education as a professor in SIU’s Paralegal Program.

He is licensed to practice in Illinois and in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2024, 2025) and Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorney (2023–2025).

Zach is more than an attorney—he’s a builder of businesses, communities, and opportunity. He lives in Aviston with his wife Emily, their two children, and their dogs, and serves on the local zoning board. A proud conservative, Zach believes in faith, family, and freedom—and brings real-world experience to the table, not political spin.

He’s not a career politician—he’s a husband, father, and small-town entrepreneur with a big vision for downstate Illinois. He believes Springfield needs fewer insiders and more voices from downstate. He is determined to fight for working families, small business owners, and the future of the 109th District.
